Version of Sept. 26, 2026
A bookshop sells other people’s words, and one with cookbooks, comics and thrillers on the same shelf sells three quite different kinds, so the desk wrote down what the site stands behind and where it stops.
What a listing is promising me
One new copy of one book, identified by ISBN-13, in the named format, paperback or hardcover. Also on the listing: author, illustrator where credited, publisher, page count where the publisher lists one, publication year, language and, on comics and manga, the publisher’s age rating. Publisher data supplies them, and the partner’s copy is compared against them. The summary of the story or the recipes is the desk’s own writing, not the publisher’s blurb. A listing doesn’t promise a particular printing, a bonus item or a signature unless it says so.
What you’re on the hook for if it goes wrong
The remedy in the Refund and Returns Policy: a replacement, or a refund of what was paid for that order. As far as Georgia law allows it, TEARA NAJEA WRIGHT FUNY LLC carries no liability for indirect or consequential loss tied to an order, a delayed package or use of the site. Consumer rights that a customer’s own state won’t let anyone waive stay in place.
Where this page reaches
Every page of ovexik.com, every listing, every email from the desk. The site is run by TEARA NAJEA WRIGHT FUNY LLC under the trading name Ovexik. Four other pages sit alongside it: Terms and Conditions, Shipping Policy, Refund and Returns Policy, Privacy Policy. Where one of them gives a figure, the figure wins over anything general written here.
A birthday planned around the delivery date
The 6-8 weekdays on the Shipping Policy and on each listing is an estimate: warehouse packing time plus the carriers’ published transit. It isn’t a promise of a calendar date. Gifts want a margin of a few days. For a late package the remedies are the Shipping Policy‘s own: trace, replacement, refund. Nothing beyond those is offered for lateness.
Cooking from one of your cookbooks
Recipes, timings and temperatures belong to the author. They aren’t medical, dietary or food-safety advice from the shop, and a recipe can’t know a reader’s allergies or oven. A how-to inside a graphic novel or a thriller is storytelling, not instruction. Ingredients get checked against the reader’s own needs; equipment gets used as its maker says.
The cover doesn’t match the picture
The cover pictures are either the publisher’s files or photos taken of a copy from stock. Screens shift color. Publishers refresh covers between printings of the same ISBN. A slightly different cover on a matching ISBN is the same book, and not a mismatch under the returns rules.
Buying comics for a twelve-year-old
The rating on a comics or manga listing is the publisher’s, reproduced as printed: Viz’s “T” or “T+”, for instance, or an age range from a children’s imprint. The thrillers are adult books and are described as such. Ratings grade content, not reading ability, and two publishers grade alike books differently. The rating is there so the buyer can decide before ordering.
A link took me off the site
Carrier tracking pages and payment processor pages are other companies’ sites, with other companies’ terms and privacy practices. Following a link away from ovexik.com is the visitor’s choice, and what happens there isn’t the shop’s doing.
Georgia law, and what it means for me
Georgia law governs this page. A dispute about it, once the steps in the Terms and Conditions are exhausted, belongs to the courts of Paulding County, Georgia. Customers elsewhere keep whatever protections their own state doesn’t allow to be waived.
When this page changes
The page is edited and the date at the top moves. A change doesn’t reach an order already placed. There’s no mailing list for updates; the date is the record.
Where to go from here
Refund and Returns Policy for what happens when a book disappoints. Terms and Conditions for the full contract. Contact for the form and the company details. Or email contact@ovexik.com, or ring +1 (770) 768-1723 on a weekday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM ET. Someone who read the message writes back inside one business day.
