Usagi is a bad athlete, a worse student, and a bit of a crybaby. Then she meets a talking cat named Luna and learns she is Sailor Moon, which means fighting and, harder for her, standing up for other people. This is where the whole franchise started.

Naoko Takeuchi’s original manga in the Naoko Takeuchi Collection edition from Kodansha: updated translation, a higher page count per volume, and a smaller, cheaper format than the earlier Eternal Edition. Published May 2022, reads right to left.

Ages 13 and up.
